Matt O’Keefe ‘12 Duxbury (MA) Football

Duxbury quarterback Matt O'Keefe '12 has had a tremendous start to the 2011 season for the Dragons (4-0). Saturday O'Keefe was nearly perfect as the senior signal caller connected on 13-of-18 passes for 235 yards and four touchdown strikes. O'Keefe also carried the ball for 72 yards rushing on the afternoon.

O'Keefe's effort helped power Duxbury to a shut out win over previously unbeaten Whitman-Hanson (3-1) 37-0.

O'Keefe is committed to legendary head Coach Dave Pietramala and the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays to play lacrosse as a standout long pole defenseman in 2012-2013.

A returning Super Bowl champion quarterback and state champion lacrosse player O'Keefe is on his way into the Massachusetts history books as he attempts to lead the Dragons to another Super Bowl and then anaother State Championship in the Spring.

Before he thinks about that he will possibly face his biggest challenge of the past two seasons when Duxbury travels to Westwood to take on Xaverian on Saturday. New England Prep Stars will be covering the game live on Saturday. Check our twitter account @newenglandpreps for live updates.
