Eastern Mass Football games at Gillette Stadium

December 4, 2010

Division 3A
Holliston 21, Cardinal Spellman 7

It was the Sean Mayo and Kevin Curry show as Holliston completely shut down Blaise Branch and the Spellman offensive attack

Division 3
Beverly 28, Somerset 20

Beverly pulls off the upset of the day in this hotly contested match up that went back and forth all day. Beverly held off the late fight from Somerset to win the Super Bowl despite barely advancing into playoff action. Beverly's #33 Brendan Flaherty (below) had a strong game for the Panthers Saturday.

Division 2A
Duxbury 35, Concord-Carlisle 13

Duxbury quarterback Matt O'Keefe (#7, pictured below) and the Green Dragon offense exploded in the second half as Duxbury took advantage of a blocked punt and timely defense to hold off the Concrd-Carlisle Patriots in a game that was much closer then the score indicated.

Division 2
Mansfield 29, Reading 26

In the closest contest of the day Mansfield came back in this one to defeat the defending champs by three. Mansfield was down 26-7 at halftime but Jamel Marshall would score with a little over a minute remaining to give Mansfield the Super Bowl win. Reading's Brian Bourque had a great game for the Rockets in defeat.

Division 1
Everett 31, St. John's Prep 7

Gatorade Player of the Year Matt Costello caught three touchdown passes from quarterback Jonathan Dibiaso as Everett overcame a 7-0 deficit early and rolled in the Division 1 game. Everett proves why they are the undefeated state champions and best team in Massachusetts with the impressive victory.

Division 1A
Gloucester 34, Bridgewater-Raynham 13

Joe Avila and Jordan Shairs had strong games for the Fishermen in the nightcap as they capped off another undefeated season with the win over BR.
