Ruiz Headed to Colby

Choate linebacker Ryan Ruiz '12 PG has committed to Colby College to play football for the Mules.
The former Concord-Carlisle (MA) captain decided on Colby recently while doing a post graduate year at Choate (CT).
"From the very beginning when I heard about Colby College there was nothing but great things to say," Ruiz told New England Prep Stars. "There were other colleges that were very interested in me but I felt that after talking with the coaches at Colby for about a year now, getting to know the football program, and understanding what I could get out of this experience I said to myself that this was a place where I could picture myself with or without football."
Ruiz and Choate are currently 5-2 and have won three straight including big wins over Loomis Chaffee and Northfield Mount Hermon.
