Quigley Talks Brown Commitment
Posted on December 20th 2011
Marblehead senior running back Will Quigley '12 has made his verbal committed to Brown University for the class of 2012.
Quigley led the Magicians to the Division 2A playoffs and a thrilling Turkey day win over Swampscott. He leaves Marblehead as the school's all-time leading rusher and points scorer, with 45 touchdowns and over 3,100 career rushing yards.
"I went on my official visit this weekend and loved everything about the place, especially the curriculum and the coaching staff," Quigley told New England Prep Stars. "It was an easy decision for me because at Brown I will be receiving an outstanding education while at the same time playing football for a winning program."
Quigley will join a loaded Brown University recruiting class with some strong Massachusetts representation. One of his future teammates comes from rival Swampscott as QB/ LB Michael Walsh '12 committed earlier this year.
"I know Mike through the Marblehead and Swampscott rivalry, said Quigley. "He is an awesome kid who is one of the best players I have ever competed against, so I look forward to becoming teammates. I am excited about the rest of our recruiting class as well. I think we have a great class coming in who will be able to add to Browns success under coach Estes.
Quigley's father was also a Brown Bear from 1981 to 1984.
