Massachusetts
- In our thriller of the week Needham defeated Walpole 12-11 on Tuesday in a Bay State League match-up. Senior captain Davis Cutter scored the game winner with seven ticks remaining on the clock. Cutter scored on a dish from senior attack and Albany commit Will Stenberg '11. Stenberg also went over the 400 career point mark in the game as he scored three goals and had two assists.
- Westford Academy is getting great production out of their four headed attack unit of senior Jason Welch, junior Ian Speliotis and fab frosh Jay Drapeau and Alex Antes. In a 12-9 win over Chelmsford on Tuesday the attack unit scored all 12 goals with Welch leading the way with 6 on the day. See the photo and video gallery on Westford Patch here.
- Congrats to our NEPS player of the week Concord-Carlisle goalie Doug Gouchoe '12. The junior keeper had a great week as he was stellar in net in a 7-4 win over L-S and helped C-C shut out Arlington and Bedford, 11-0 in both games. The defense of C-C, led by seniors Michael Anastos, Peter George (pictured above left) and junior Henry Bumpus, has also been up to task.
- There was not a lot of movement in our Fab 15 in Mass this week. Many of the top teams took care of business with wins,
