New England Prep Stars Live Coverage

We were at three games this week and will also be at three games this upcoming weekend. Below are recaps with links and posts from our game coverage.

Chelmsford shuts out Acton-Boxborough 26-0

CHS moved to 2-0 on the season as they shut out A-B (1-1) 26-0 in Acton on Friday night.

The offensive star of the game this week was QB Colby Emanouil, who scored two rushing touchdowns and threw for another score in the win.

After giving up 34 points to an underrated Westford Academy (1-1) team that defeated Marshfield in Week 2 the Lions held the Colonials offesnive attack incheck. The Colonials were very successful in week one against Woburn in a 33-8 win. CHS bent at times but did not break and were led by BC bound LB Tim Joy '12 (10 tackles) and DB Cody Nazzaro '12 (Big INT).

CHS hosts BC High this Friday night in a big match-up of two of the top 10 teams in Massachusetts this season.

Concord-Carlisle Rides Craan to Win Over Lexington

Senior running back George Craan '12 rushed for 167 yards and 2 TDs and senior LB and OG Thomas Kleyn scored two touchdowns on fumble recoveries in C-C's 40-14 victory over Lexington. C-C avenged five straight seasons of losses to Lexington as they move to 2-0 on the young season. C-C takes on Waltham on Friday night as Lexington (0-2) will travel to Acton-Boxborough in search of their first win. Read more about the game here.

Nashua South Outlasts Lowell

On Saturday afternoon in Nashua there was an offensive explosion by the border state squads as Nashua South (2-1) hung on for a 44-41 victory over Lowell (1-1).

Lowell QB RJ Noel '12 (see above) had a day to remember as he found his main targets, WR Jack Galvin '14 and Gilberto Brown '12 for a total of over 400 yards combined and four scores.

For Nashua South QB Trevor Knight '14 led his team to a victory with two rushing touchdowns and a beautiful 29-yard over the top TD pass to WR Ray Ramos '12. Ramos also had an INT return for a TD on the following Lowell drive.

Nashua South RB Derek Paradis '12 ran for 117 yards and RB/ WR Armond McRae '12 (pictured ran for 11 yards in the win.

Despite Nashua South's two score lead heading into the fourth quarter the game was always closer than the score indicated. With under a minute remaining Nashua South finally put the clamps down defensively and stopped a Noel led drive around midfield to seal the victory.
