Massachusetts and New Hampshire: Week 4 Football Review
jonathan dibiaso tossed 5 TDs on the day.

Posted on October 6th 2010

  • Everett looked amazing on saturday as they hit on all facets of the game with their 43-14 win over Barnstable.  Everett junior QB Jonathan Dibiaso set the school record for career touchdowns strikes with five on the day.  Senior WR Matt Costello had a monster day with nine catches for 210 yards, four toucdowns, one interceptionand a blocked punt.  Costello was absolutely everywere on the day.  Boston College committment Manny Aspirlla also added a touchdown run on the day and played some solid defense for Everertt.
  • Everett contained Barnstable juniori QB D.J. Crook but Crook did hit senior WR Jordan Henderson witha beautiful 31 yard touchdown strike in the first half and finished the day with two touchdown passes to go along with three picks.  Everett's Vondell Langston was all over the place at the MLB spot making countless sideline to sideline tackles.
  • The junior class (2012) is proving to be an amazing quarterback class that Massachusetts has not seen in years.  Billerica's Nick LaSpada, Barnstable's Crook, Everett's Dibiaso and Catholic Memorial's A.J. Doyle are all Division 1 talents with room left to grow and excel.
  • Billerica needs to get going defensively or this could be a long season for the Indians.  Giving up 60 points to Dracut when you have an offense like that is unexcuseable.
  • Chelmsford continues to impress on defense but did allow some scoring for the first time this week agasint Lawrence.  the scoring came after the lead was in hand but Chelmsford starts the tough part of their schedule this week when they travel to Methuen followed by an away game at Andover next weekend.
  • Brockton snuck out a close victory this weekend over St. John's Prep.  Brockton's schedule is always among the toughest in the state and they finally get a little
  • Catholic Memorial defeated Bishop Guertin this weekend in a cross borders battle.  The loss of star BG running back Mike Kelly continues to hurt BG.
  • Your eyes were not decieving you when you looked at the Salem and Nashua North box score this weekend.  Salem won 67-54 in one of the craziest offensive shows in recent memory.  Both teams boast immense talent offesnively and it showed on this saturday morning battle.  salem's Max Jacques ran for 240 yards on the day.  There was over 1000 yards total offense.  for more on this insane offensive explosion check the Nashua telegraph article here.
  • The Dual County League Large and Small are up for grabs this year.  Acton-Boxborough, Lincoln-Sudbury, Westford, Wayland and Concord-Carlisle all look like they could beat anybody or lose to anybody on any given weekend.  It should get good in october in the DCL.
