Our predictions for the D1, D2 and D3 games.......
D1- Duxbury 14 SJ Prep 11 , D2- Hingham12 Medfield 8, D3 Cohasset 9 Norwell 7 . Looks like the South Shore will rule after Wednesday's finals at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, MA. Games get started with the D2 finals at 3:30pm and follow with the D3 at 5:30 and the nightcap is the D1 at 7:30.
Congrats to Bishop Guertin for holding off Exeter and taking the New Hampshire state finals. BG was a force all season and came within a couple goals of going undefeated on the season. No shame losing to Connecticut power Fairfield Prep and Massachusetts power Duxbury.
If there was ever a snub in the All American race it was of Concord-Carlisle Goalie Robbie Snook. The senior was the backbone of a defensive laden team this season. Snook will take his game to Army next year where his family has a long lineage of Cadets.
Congrats also goes out to Billerica Junior Attackman Grant Whiteway. Whiteway broke former Duxbury star Max Quinzani's individual state season scoring record earlier last week. The UMass bound Attackman was a scoring machine this year finishing with an astonishing 169 points.
Speaking of Quinzani. He was drafted #3 in the MLL draft by the hometown Boston Cannons two weeks ago and wasted little time as the former Duxbury star had 3 goals and an assist in his first game June 12th vs. Denver. The Cannons won 17-12 and Quinzani looked right at home on the professional level.
