Concord-Carlisle lacrosse midfielder Jackson Finigan '12 has committed to the University of Delaware Blue Hen's with the class of 2013.
Finigan will do a post-graduate year next year at a school to be determined and is coming off a Super Bowl victory on the football field this fall for the Patriots.
"I knew I wanted to go to Delaware back when I visited in November but I had some other schools to look at first," Finigan told New England Prep Stars. "After I visited all my schools I sat down with my parents and this last Thursday I called Coach Shillinglaw and made it official. The coaches were great to me the entire time. The lacrosse is great down there and I fell in love with the campus."
Finigan, a 2011 DCL Small All-Star in football, will be a key returnee for Head Coach Tom Dalicandro's Patriots, who were the 2010 Eastern Mass Division 2 runner-ups.
"Our hopes and standards are pretty high," said Finigan. "We have some great players returning and I just hope we can have season as successful as the football team."
Finigan had 17 goals and 10 assists last season for the Patriots to go along with 10 goals and two assists during his sophomore season.
Finigan is also a hockey player for CCHS and plays for Team Central Elite during the summer lacrosse season.
