Catching Up with Hoops

Alex Murphy is now part of the class of 2011

In the midst of our busy Spring lacrosse season we take some time to play catch up on some recent hoops happenings.

• As reported by Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports, St. Mark's (MA) Alex Murphy has re-classified to the Class of 2011 and will enroll in Duke to play next season. Murphy will be the fifth member of Duke's 2011 recruiting class. He will join McDonald's All-American's Quinn Cook, Austin Rivers, and Marshall Plumlee along with forward Michael Gbinije.
• New London's (CT) Kris Dunn '12 turned a lot of notable heads in the national recruiting circles this past weekend. Dunn, who plays for the CBC, lit it up down in Arkansas at the Real Deal in the Rock tournament. See more on Dunn from Rivals recriiting guru, Eric Bossi, and other locals on Jacket's Online's recap.
• Notre Dame Prep's Ricky Ledo '12 is going to visit  the 2010-2011 National Champion UConn Huskies today.
• Tilton School point guard Aaron Law '11 has committed to Iowas State to play basketball next year for Fred Hoiberg's Cyclones.
